Does my premium go up if I make a claim?
No, making a claim won’t raise your pet insurance premiums.
What excess applies to my claim?
There is no excess payable for our Everyday Cover or The Works Cover. For policyholders on our Big Stuff Cover, a $1,000 excess is payable when claiming on each new condition.
How long does it take to approve my claim?
Your claim is usually processed within 14 days. But don’t worry we’ll keep you posted on the progress of your claim.
Can you pre-approve the vet bill before the treatment happens?
Yes, you can contact us before making a claim to check if your bill will be covered.
What are the waiting periods before I can make a claim?
There are no waiting periods for claims relating to accidental injuries. A 21-day waiting period applies for all claims relating to an illness, as well as a 6-month waiting period for cruciate ligament conditions (this may be waived on application).
