I did not compare pet insurance rates as I was aware that a portion of my premium would go towards animal Care by the SPCA I was handled with the upmost respect, empathy, and measure of fun in my purchase Everyone that I spoke to was top-notch However, it was a bit laborious listening to all the preamble, but I do understand fully that this is necessary on behalf of yourselves Thank you for making my purchase easy and I hope not to have to call on you quite franklyAll the best.

Person on the phone called jess who helped with my new policy was totally fantastic.

The lady Jess who dealt with me at time of quoting and setting up of my policy was amazing and it didn't matter how many questions I asked about the cover for my dog she was really helpful. She explained that the policy would be set up later today for start date of 4/4/26. However when I cancelled my previous insurance with another company they told me that I had to pay the remaining last monthly payment before cancelling the policy on 04/05/26. So I called SPCA Insurance back to see if I could change the start date of the new policy to 4/5/26 not 4/4/26. The lady on the phone was not helpful and said she could not change anything as the new policy was not set up. So as a result for April to May I am now paying 2 lots of monthly premiums. I am interested to see what sort of help and customer service I get if I need to claim.

As I said earlier the service I received from the young lady on the phone was excellent,. We couldn't have made the best decision for our puppy if it wasn't for the young lady on the phone.
Best product, especially for an older dog.

The way exclusions work was not made clear. Other companies have them written on the policy, whereas SPCA just do them on a claim by claim basis - so you make a claim and then assuming not a preexisting condition all is well. this is much easier, and I think they include more as a result, but for some it will feel slightly odd as they are not totally clear what is and is not going to be excluded - if they had a specific issue for example. When I rang, the person on the phone had no concept of what I was trying to ask about. Not a fan that they automatically call you if you put in a quote. I find that really annoying. I did one for a friend just to compare, and sure enough I got a call for that. I guess I should have used a fake phone number, but the systems could match phone numbers to see if the person has already bought a policy. I did several quotes before I bought which I am sure is not uncommon.
