Well explained however the person over the phone was quite pushy. For someone who is inexperienced and reserved the approach felt demanding. While it is a good thing to close a sale they could approach it with a kinder heart.

Extremely long winded reading out to me of all the documents and conditions which i would have much preferred to have read myself. Also the sales agent said he would send me an email i could reply to with any questions the the email address starts....donotreply@ - not useful.

The operator was very nice, but: I received several random calls about the insurance during the work day which are very distracting. Insurance is an important arrangement, but taking a client by surprise and providing no materials for review prior to the call are a very bad practice. Reading all the information over the phone with no written information provided is compromising the informed nature of the consent you are forcing to provide over the phone. The t&c of the use of my personal information including my card details are read to me after I provide them - it is tricking a person to an agreement prior discussing any possible implementations. It felt almost like a blackmail: you must provide all the data on the phone, and only then we will tell us why you need that. I felt extremely uncomfortable and put under stress as had no time to prepare my questions before the call (without seeing an offer or having an explanation why all of a sudden a quote changes from day to day - I don’t know what I don’t know!) My callback emails specifying time when I can get a call were completely ignored which is also frustrating. Why io you ask for them if never read? Is it a part if nit considering personal circumstances? The operator was not prepared for my call either as they did not know I had a cat adopted through spca and was at first reluctant to include this information to the insurance plan. I appreciate it is not the operator’s fault. But to me your communication with client protocol needs to be seriously revised. I do hope further it will be better.

It had been about 10mins after I had completed a free quote for insurance of my two cats and I received a phone call from the lovely Charlie. She was incredibly helpful and it was so nice to speak to her about the pros and cons of the 3 different insurance packages. I felt I could ask all the appropriate questions needed and never felt like I had to sign up right then and there. Although after speaking with Charlie I did sign up to one of the choices. Knowing I had 10 days to pay for the insurance felt very reasonable. It also gave me the chance to talk it through with my husband before making a final decision. We had the opportunity to cancel the policy before we even started paying. The best part of insuring with the SPCA is that it doesn’t just cover your fur baby, it also helps the amazing work of the SPCA too. We have encountered the SPCA before, for the welfare of some animals we were concerned about that were on our property but we didn’t own. The SPCA were fantastic at communicating and keeping in touch with us and the outcome was well thought out and what we expected of the SPCA. It’s nice knowing we are helping this incredible organisation too. And of the 4 different company quotes I got the SPCA was the most suitable and very competitive prices.
